Eastbourne Best Place to Open B&B

Eastbourne is one of the best places in the UK to open a Bed & Breakfast, according to the Daily Telegraph.

 

The feature published on the 7 April, highlighted the resort as one of ten places in the UK to buy, stating that the “elegant seaside town is poised to become the new Brighton”.

 

Eastbourne Borough Council Director of Economy, Tourism & Environment, Norman Kinnish said “I am delighted that our tourism industry has been highlighted once again for our investment potential. Since our Change Your View campaign began in 2004 we have seen various regeneration projects, from seafront restaurants to new boutique style hotels. These all add to the vibrancy and long term sustainability of a first class resort.”

 

One of only two resorts in the South East included in the feature, the article highlights B&B’s as the latest property boom, taking over from buy-to-let property investment. It also states that British tourism is booming and becoming less seasonal, with contemporary or ‘Boutique’ style guesthouses identified as the current trend.

 

The article follows another recent story in The Guardian, which recently previewed the new Quality Coast Award announcements, choosing Eastbourne’s Falling Sands as the best coastal retreat on the South Coast.
